It Starts with the Turf is a construction and facilities maintenance company designed for baseball coaches, started by Jeff Moeller. Jeff spent 12 years coaching high school baseball at Westminster Christian High School in Elgin, Illinois. As his first project, Jeff was charged with creating Wesminster High School’s baseball facilities, from the ground up. Even responsibility for field location was included in the scope of work for this first project.
Both on-time and within budget, the final result was without question one of the best baseball fields in Northern Illinois. Jeff and his staff have also maintained the Westminster field for the last 10 years. Coaches who’ve been fortunate enough to compete on the Westminster Field began recruiting Jeff to address needed changes and improvements to their own fields, and It Starts with the Turf was born.
Jeff is passionate about baseball, and loves to create facilities that include features and design elements appreciated by college and professional baseball players.
Jeff brings his passion to every job he does. As a baseball coach himself, Jeff knows what coaches want and need on a field, and does the job the way a coach would want it done. He also knows the importance and desire for coaches to have a field that operates smoothly. Bottom line he knows how to do the job right!
